The skill uses your Postal Code to determine your local police force and police neighbourhood area. The Postal Code is requested from the Alexa platform at the time of invocation and is discarded once the skill exits. The Postal code, once retrieved is converted to GPS coordinates using the postcodes.io Geolocation API so that these coordinates can be used to find your local police force and police neighbourhood using the data.police.uk API.
You may opt out of any future use of your Postal Code by the skill; You can do this at any time by de-listing the skill from all of your devices or revoking the 'Device Country and Postcode' permission for the skill through the Official Alexa app.
We take precautions to protect your information. Your Postal Code is sent to APIs over a secure HTTPS connection and is discarded once the skill exits.
